How to make Abraham Text Transcripts from Youtube Videos
A wealth of resources related to the teachings of Abraham-Hicks. Take a look, and enjoy. For all new members, this is information that is important for all forum resources and posting guidelines and is a MUST READ and AGREE for terms for posting.
If you want a written transcript version of a youtube video (whether for yourself, or to add quotes to our Quotations section here on the forum), here's how you can do so:
Go to the youtube video page with the clip you want to transcribe.
Underneath the youtube video there is a grey Description Box. Inside this box you'll see a "...more" option. Click that.
Scroll down within this grey box until you see the text that says: "Transcript". Below this is a button containing blue text that says "Show transcript". Click on that.
On the right side besides the video a transcript box appears with the text from the video. It currently has the time stamps (0:01, 0:04 etc) besides each line. To remove these: At the top of the transcript window is text that says "In this video". To the right of this are 3 vertical dots ( ⋮ ). Click these dots. A drop-down menu appears that says "Toggle timestamps". Click that. This switches off the timestamps.
Now you're ready to copy the transcript: Starting from the first word at the top, click and drag your mouse downwards to highlight the whole transcript. Once it's all selected (you can tell it's selected because it's highlighted in blue) - you can copy the selected text by pressing "Ctrl" + "c" on your keyboard (or by going to the menu at the top of your browser and selecting "edit >> copy").
Paste it ("Ctrl" + "v") into your Word program. Here you can edit the block of text to remove "um"s or mis-spoken sections, add punctuation, new lines etc and make corrections where the automatic transcriber made mistakes.
If you like, you can then paste the best quotes from the clip into our Quotations section.

Alternative method:
There are websites like youtubetranscript.com which allow you to paste the youtube URL into them, and then they make a script for you so you can skip a lot of the above steps. I found these websites sometimes work, and sometimes they don't work - so if it works - great! and if it doesn't - the above method always works.

oo do you have an AI transcripting apps you can recommend? Tara was recently looking for some
My app is totally Chinese, I think. It's Baidu Net Disc, but it doesn't operate in other countries. It has a lot of apps and tools, and one of is transcribing/文稿. I store and directly play Abe clips and I click the button of transcribing/文稿, the text comes out and I download it--and then I spend a bit time reading it and correcting some errors.
