About Resistance, vs being "In the Flow"

Introducing the Abe Quotation sub-forum We've been noticing more and more members enjoying and sharing Abraham's words of wisdom in many different forms. The momentum of such generous sharing has caught our attention so we've created a place here on the forum to assemble such gems "under one roof," so to speak.

So, contrast caused you to create a vibrational version,
and that vibrational version IS READY FOR YOU.

If it has not manifested,
it only means that you are not ready for it!

Stop using the word "struggle".
Use a less strugglesome word,
like "I'm sifting".

Taking score adds resistance

When you are thinking about something that you have been wanting for a very long time,
and you are noticing that it has not yet happened,
a strong negative emotion would be present within you.

However, if you are thinking about something that you have been wanting,
and you are imagining that it IS happening,
then your emotion would be one of anticipation or eagerness.

And so, you can tell by the way you feel whether you are in this moment, allowing or resisting your desire.

Fine-tuning your language to minimize resistance & help you go downstream

Consider the following common statements:

I can beat this.
I'm not going to let this get the better of me.
I will triumph over this.

We want you to try to understand that those statements are upstream, resistant statements.
For in each of them you are looking at the thing that you do not want, and holding yourself in vibrational alignment with the unwanted, rather than the wanted.
(...)
Your very belief that you need to overcome this adversity has you pointed upstream and away from the solution.

Remember-
RELAX into health, resist not the illness.
RELAX into joy, resist not the pain.
RELAX into abundance, resist not poverty.
RELAX into goodness, resist not evil.
RELAX into feeling good, resist not feeling bad.

Your work is simply to find some relief for yourself in your own thoughts.
Even the slightest feeling of relief is an indication that you have released some resistance. (...)

You must make yourself feel better before you can attract change.

Step 5 is slipping out into resistance or contrast again,
but not being mad at yourself,
understanding the value of the contrast.

Path of least resistance

When you take the path of least resitance,
everything will fall into place.
As far as your desire is concerned, it's done!
It's ready and it's yours. Always.

How do you lower resistance?

There are lots of ways:

Appreciating lowers resistance
Basking lowers resistance
Applauding lowers resistance
Complimenting lowers resistance
Meditating lowers resistance
Sleeping lowers resistance
Laughing lowers resistance
Going to a good movie lowers resistance
Having a great meal lowers resistance
Basking in the deliciousness of life lowers resistance

So many things that you do that lower resistance, we see you beating up on yourself: You say: "I shouldn't have eaten that."
We say "You were lowering resistance. Relax and your body will maintain its balance."

You say: "i shouldn't have wasted the time and gone to the movie.
I should have kept I should have kept my nose to the grindstone"
We say: You were following your intuition. You were lowering resistance.
Why ruin it all by beating up on yourself now?

Lighten up.
Be easy about all of this.
Follow your heart.
Let your dominant intent be to let the joy that is natural to you flow.
And find all of the wonderful creative ways that you can find even in one day
to let it flow.

Some Reasons Behind Why Some Have Resistance to Abraham's Teachings

Physical man often resists those who seek to inform him upon new subjects for a variety of reasons:

In some cases, he believes that he now has all the answers to all of the questions, for he has been so fully immersed in the traditions and beliefs of those who surrounded him at the time of his birth, that he cannot accept that there are other valid, valuable ideas outside of those accepted by his family, or religious circle, or nation.

In some cases, the beliefs that he now holds do not blend or harmonize with the new information being offered, and because the new ideas do not agree with the old ideas, he feels tremendous insecurity, and tries all the more to hold to or to protect or defend his set of beliefs.

And in some cases, he seeks nothing, therefore all new stimulation, or different stimulation, seems intrusive to him. And so he resists it. He has felt the sting of wanting and not receiving so often that he now no longer wants. He has decided that it is easier to accept things as they are, asking for no change, than to want change and not get it.

(...)

Those who will be uplifted and exhilarated by [our work] will without exception, be those who do not believe that they currently have all of the answers.
