Kali represents the power that is hidden within ourselves; this is the power that we are not aware that we have. Kali Mudra also represents female power. (...)

According to Hindu Mythology, she is also considered a destroyer. She destroys negativity within us. This Mudra helps to destroy the darkness that you experience within your mind and illuminates a brighter light.

This Mudra can be practiced in restorative yoga sequences. It brings positive changes within ourselves.

This Mudra also helps to activate the upper Chakras.

How to Do Kali Mudra?
Join your palms together. Keep it at heart level but slightly away from the body.
Now, slowly and gently interlace your fingers together in such a manner that you keep your right fingers over the left one while interlacing them.
Gently extend your index fingers and join them from their roots to their tips.

Practicing this Mudra for 20-25 minutes daily is recommended. Whether you wish to complete it in one stretch or in two threes that last between 10 and 15 minutes, it’s up to you. Based on research, the best way to practice an exercise for at least 20 minutes is to get the best benefits of that particular Mudra.

I'm amazed I received this symbol! Hello surprise and delight! :hearts:
I guess I'll try incorporating it into the meditation tomorrow!

Wow 🤩 so interesting you came across Kali 🥰

She is one of 10 Mahavidiyas. A powerful one and can assist in quicker transformation… she is also associated with time :)

When I first saw images of Kali it was scary to me

I wonder if this kind of imagery is someone else's meditative imagery.
When I understood that her role is destroying fears and negativity - the image of her killing demons suddenly felt less scary - like it may just be a metaphor for the power of dissolving fear and other negative emotions. A scary image may represent the vibration and set-point in the person who received that image. Info received through other people's filters.

Day 24:

Meditation done.

Today I received snippets of scenes from tv shows I've been watching lately
It didn't feel important - and I don't remember most that popped up, so I wonder if it was just coming from my more human side rather than from a spiritual place. Like passing thoughts in image-form.

The only more vivid image I remember seeing is of someone at a round table, building a wall out of silver metal cans. The feeling I had when seeing this image was neutral.

I'm not sure what this means. In the spirit of "eveywhere you look, look for the flowers" - could it be something positive like a symbol for "focus"? He seemed very focused and careful. Could it perhaps be a symbol for trying to climb up to a higher vibration, like the stacking of the cans to higher levels? hm perhaps! :think2:

Bashar's recommended Beethoven music ( the first 3 minutes of Beethoven's 7th Symphony, 2nd movement) also popped into my head during the meditation.
I wonder if this too is just a passing thought thing; a Pavlovian response remembered from last time I sat to meditate, or if it has any significance.

I like that! :hearts:
I also like the idea that she is the one who ends things, in the cycle of becoming, being, and going... it all has it's perfect place.

:D And I like that we can (and should) drop WHATEVER doesn't feel so good in the moment, as it is not helpful to *us*, *here and now*!

I remember Abe saying, that literally EVERYTHING has perfect meaning. Nothing is random. It couldn't be otherwise, there gets nothing attracted to us that isn't a match and in that, also an "indicator". But the question is if we are in the receiving mode for "getting" it. If it feels less than good or joyfully interesting, dropping it might be the answer, right? :hearts:

Speaking of synchronicities, I should be studying Kali now in my yoga 🥰 but I missed almost a month, so glad it came up here (I learnt about Kali some years ago). Yes, the image of her has lots of symbolism, all the heads on her neck and Shiva below her legs, shows that time goes through everyone :) and yes! People evoke Kali to speed up spiritual evolution, and basically she is helping to destroy the concepts that it’s not who you really are, but it may be scary for the ego ❤️

I once came across a beautiful interview on YouTube with an Indian singer, she had strong connection with Kali (or I would say source energy), she was telling how this connection helped her in life and shared many manifestation, synchronicity stories etc. was nice to listen.

Spiritualcookie, I got a bit carried away ☺️

I also head about Beethoven from Bashar. Haven’t tried medi, but sometimes I feel inspired to put classical music in the background. It truly uplifts me :)

Day 25:

Now that I have less of a strong need for the Kali Mudra because I've overcome much of the feeling of fear*, last night I received an inspiration to look into other mudras, so I picked 3 to try out in the meditation today:
1.) Anjali Mudra (prayer hands) - opens heart, helps foster gratitude
2.) Lotus mudra / padma mudra (bring your palms together, and then open them into a lotus shape. The thumbs stay together, as do the pinky fingers) - fosters open heart and purity of heart
3.) Ganesha Mudra - opens heart, remover of obstacles, enhance self-confidence and provide the courage to overcome anything (To practice this mudra, bring your left hand to your heart center. The palm faces outward with your thumb pointing down. Your right hand comes in front of the left—with the palm facing inward and the thumb up. Now, lock your fingers together into a kind of claw, while pulling outward with the hands, keeping your fingers locked all the while. You can pull, then release a bit, pull, then release. Do this repetition six times. Then reverse the hands and repeat..)
*I see that Tara just posted that Kali is used for spiritual evolution / development also, and not just to remove fear / negativity, so perhaps I will still use the Kali mudra from time to time as well :D

I also received the inspiration to look back on my old meditation notes, and I was reminded of the Sitting in the Power method. It's interesting because this method I read includes visualizing first your own light / energy field expanding, and then visualizing the light of Source coming down from above, merging with your energy field. When I read this visualization, it reminded me of the lava-lamp-like images I've been seeing of that drop-shape coming down from above. This overlapping imagery makes me feel like "I'm on the right path" :)

So that's what I did today: Sitting in the Power plus the mudras above.

-

Experiences:
(Whilst I want my diary to be an accurate representation of meditative experiences, I also want to be more feel-good and positive in my diary. So rather than saying "no visuals today" - if I don't list any, it means it didn't happen. I want to focus the energy on positive experiences rather than gathering energy on the lack end of the stick :)). So, what was experienced:

- A few sensations in the ears - like a feeling of pressure for a little while ("They're working on my ears!")
- A few tingling sensations across the forehead ("Now they're working on my forehead!")
- Light-headed sensation, and some head nod type feelings

I noticed myself shifting from focused on high vibrations to losing that focus and drifting back to my less deilberately focused, normal human-everyday set-point. I feel the difference between these two places. One feels more open to receiving than the other.

Looking for the flowers:
- I felt quite rested after the meditation.
- I felt like *something* was happening energetically with the body sensations that were going on
- I'm becoming better at noticing my energetic set-point and focus-points

I didn't know this. Sounds like a useful energy to activate during desired spiritual development!
