Releasing resistance
Releasing resistance
I have been an Aber for years but just this month found out that releasing resistance is what serves me best. When I script, imagine, try to find a better thought, there is still effort in it for me. The problem end of the stick is stiill active... But when I just release resistance, heaven kind of opens up for me. It's just about finding thoughts like:
Oh well I don't care.
Letting it be alright as it is. Letting it be good.
Trusting that it will work out. Complete trust. Surrender-like trust.
Reveling in the feeling of lightness and ease that I get from this.
This is all it takes for me. And it is not a process I do with words. It is much more like a switch in my feelings. Like a willingness to release.
It takes some practice to stay in that place, but it is actually very easy and enjoyable.
Have all of you guys been doing this for years??
I used to have anxiety every morning before going to work. I used to sit around in my kitchen for an hour each day, gripping my coffee mug in terror. Now I have significantly improved this within weeks. Most days I go to work with a very light or at least neutral feeling. Honestly, years of therapy could not accomplish this...

Re: Releasing resistance
I love it when a part of Abe's teachings clicks like this! I always find it funny how despite being an Aber for years, I also have these Aha moments still!
Sounds like you've clicked with "Making peace with what is" and relaxing into the moment to let go of resistance. Super awesome!

Thank you spiritualcookie!!!
Yes! "Making peace with what is" used to be a phrase that I have heard 1000... times, but it never clicked. I never grasped the meaning of it.
I never wanted to make peace with what is. It felt like giving up and I felt fear that it would somehow be like giving my now-reality permission to stay.... But now I am 100 % sure this is not the case, because I can feel the vibrational change.

Ohh I LOVE how you describe this, together with al this perfect pics! Exactly, exactly, exactly!!
And I feel so much joy with you, about your trust and your inner peace
Whenever I manage to REALLY let go and relax, I experience magic. It is such a wonderful thing!

To answer your question: Yes, I did (at least tried!) this. As you say, for many of us this is a pretty tough thing to pull off- it surely was, and often still is, for me. It is the paradigm-shift from what was the golden calf of the old paradigm: Work hard, be fast, never stop efforting. *I* needed a complete breakdown of my physical system (14 years ago), aka a burn-out, to hinder me using the Abe-teachings in this same way as a new "goal" that I needed to achieve: Getting better in faster, bolder ways... instead of soothing myself, chilling out, being nicer to myself, TRUSTING the Goodness of my Vortex and of Source!

What do you REALLY give up?
Are you giving up the DESIRE? NO!!!
Are you giving up the struggle? Yes!
Are you giving up the DESIRE? NO!!!
Are you giving up the effort? Yes.
Are you giving up the DESIRE? NO!!!
Are you giving up the angst? Yes!

Re: Releasing resistance
I want to explain a bit about this "making peace". It is not in most printed EGS's, but Abe mentioned often that "peace" really is on the very top of the EGS. So, when you really "let go" of all resistance, aka you drop it (as a hot potato all at once- or you do it incrementally, whatever works for you in the very moment)- then you "bob back to the surface all on your own", as Abe have often explained in the cork-analogy. Your vibe just rises, if you only let it- "by chilling out" or by stopping to push against.
That IS what "making peace" means.
You allow your vibe to rise. And it really does that all on it's own, when you step out of it's way. Just like your boat turns into the stream and gets carried by it- all on it's own, downstream- if only you let go of the oars.
