Re: Practice a little every day
Esther's dream is such a lovely story, isn't it?
Hope you've been having a wonderful day too!
Day 18:
APPRECIATION
I like how aligned I was when I accidentally ordered the "wrong" sized item, and it turned out to be the perfect size!
I appreciate that I had the revelation for ways to eat more healthfully. It feels like a bit of a breakthrough! It feels like discovery and expansion. It makes me feel more empowered; more in control; with more of a choice. I like feeling like I have healthy options to choose from : ) I like feeling like I'm caring for myself well, and treating myself with love and respect when I choose healthy options.
(And of course I also love showing myself love and respect by allowing the joy of some treats occasionally too )
I appreciate he was so sweet that he gave me his spare mouse for my computer.
I love how he always wants to help and has solutions and ideas I didn't know existed! I love how talking to him is so stimulating and expanding for me. I love how he knows so so so much! I love that I can ask him anything and he probably knows the answer! I so appreciate his in-depthness in all matters. I so appreciate his curiosity; his desire to know stuff; to learn stuff; to understand stuff. I love that we can be playful and silly together too I'm so happy he's part of my life
I appreciate that I took the time for some quiet quality time together today. Just some time to "be" together rather than to "do". It felt important to take a breath, slow down, and allow this togetherness without expecting much from it other than "being together". It felt like a growth in awareness; it felt expansive; it felt deliberate and therefore empowering.
I liked our chat together. I liked the revelation that I like to be allowed to be in an uninterrupted state of focus at times - and that I don't need to feel guilty about this! It's ok to focus and not always desire to give your attention to others precisely when they want it if it's not an appropriate time for me. This doesn't make me unloving, unfriendly or mean. And selfishness doesn't really come into it either because THEIR demands for attention are serving them, and my demands for personal-time are serving me, so we're all equal on the "tending to ourselves" scale! I'm allowed to have boundaries. And I can tend to my loved ones at a later time and still give them the love, focus, attention and help they deserve when it is more appropriate for me. That way everyone can feel good, respected and tended to
I liked the revelation that he already allows himself uninterrupted focus - and feels zero guilt about it - and I don't see him as "mean". I understand he just like to focus, and I know he'll be available to me at a later time - and I love and accept him as he is. So perhaps people can be understanding of me that way too
I am where I am and that's ok
Hope you've been having a wonderful day too!

I require a lot of time to do my own thing and happily have a man who understands this. He also spends time doing his thing too. We are a good match on that one, even now that we are both retired and home together. We tend to have different sleeping hours so that helps too.
Seeing things to celebrate. Good Version, good version.

Day 19:
APPRECIATION
I appreciate that I had the desire to experiment with inventing a new cracker recipe today. Version 1.0 today, and 2.0 tomorrow! I so appreciated her suggestion to try to use xanthan and / or chia and/ or an egg as a binding agent next time. (She's so kind and helpful - and full of good ideas - and baking knowledge & experience!) I'm eager to try it and see how it'll come out ; I'm eager to see it bound beautifully well together - and eager to enjoy the taste and texture : )
I appreciate that the gem squashes are still gemming away and creating new fruits : )
It's so satisfying seeing them go all shiny after they've been successfully pollinated. Like glossy green snooker balls! I like watching them swell and grow - this too is satisfying : )
I liked picking the huge zucchini today - he got so fat! I love it when they get fat and chunky - and look so different in size and shape from the skinny ones in the supermarket
I liked watching the recap of the synchronised / artistic swimming duets today. I liked how moments gave me goosebumps and made my hairs stand on end coz it was so beautiful I am in such awe how people can be so in sync with one another! So in tune! So on the same wavelengt! I appreciate so much their musicality too - how they had such perfect timing with the music! It was so satisfying seeing them punctuate the beat with sharp, accurate moves at just the right moment. And the gracefulness was so pretty too. I love how they have an underwater camera to enable you to see what they're doing beneath the surface. It's so fascinating how they can stay in place so skillfully at amazing angles. It was a joy to see!
I appreciate so much all the scientific journal articles available for free online to enable me to research things that are of interest to me. I appreciate that my research today calmed some worries I had. I loved the feeling of relief and the physical easing of tension - even if it was conditional - hey, anything that leads to a better-feeling-place - I'll take it!
I liked the feeling of expansion that came with my research - I like feeling I'm learning new things; getting a better understanding; enriching my everyday experiences with more depth.
I enjoyed hearing his experience with the unlimited ice cream buffet, with 20 different flavours of ice cream to choose from and to enjoy as much as he wanted! It sounds like a dream come true! How fun that would be to experience and enjoy something like that!
I am thankful I am feeling comfortable : )
All is very well
