Glad to be an Aber

Post by Leah Southey »

Hello all!

I'm so happy to report I'm in recovery from being a lapsed Aber!

I found Abraham-Hicks through a friend at the Findhorn Foundation, a long time ago. I had lots of fun with it, until Life started giving me contrast... without much good stuff to ameliorate it.

You know how Abe says the worse it gets, the worse it gets? :o That's been me for... a very long time.

BUT Abe also says
The better it gets, the better it gets.

So in the past couple of days a few glimpses of hope have made me more optimistic, cranky old bat that I am.

Now off to read what the rest of you have been thinking and doing. Let the joy begin!

Welcome leah,

I'm happy that you are now here. I was also a lapsed aber. It is wonderful that you have glimpses of hope and are more optimistic.

Abraham is the deepest spiritual teacher for me and a great help to understand the true nature of life and gives us a way to connect with our inner being and with our natural well-being.

I'm eager to explore more of your way and your life.

Yay  FloatingBoat: now we can be lapsed cynics together!

I've noticed recently that if I get anxious over something I want or need to do... I mess up.
If I can reassure myself it'll all work out perfectly, guess what? IT DOES!!

Sometimes it's best just to say oh to hell with it and see what happens. You know, like "let go and let God". Also, the thought of "this can wait" works better for me than stressing myself out.
I'm eager to explore more of your way and your life.
What a lovely thing for you to write to someone you haven't met! I find online communication MUCH easier than f2f, so there'll be plenty of it.
