Quotes on Habits & Bad Habits

Introducing the Abe Quotation sub-forum We've been noticing more and more members enjoying and sharing Abraham's words of wisdom in many different forms. The momentum of such generous sharing has caught our attention so we've created a place here on the forum to assemble such gems "under one roof," so to speak.

Others will never benefit from you, not thriving so much. Or from you, struggling with them, as well!

You're trying to justify, for the benefit of the others! (laughter) In other words... (...) We understand what you're doing with that! In other words, you're not wanting people to see you in that light of perfection, too much! (Laughter)

Because it's hard for a struggler to appreciate a lucky one!

It's a little bit in there. And we would like you to never feel any desire, whatsoever, to express anything about your bad day. Because your bad day is such a freakish anomaly in the scope of what your life really is, you see!

We never hear you say: Well I've been well for so long. I think I'll be sick for a while, to allow more sick people to be well! I heard that there are 100,000 really sick people in my small community. And I've been so well- I've made a decision to call someone up. I'm going to be sick, so they can be well!"

Silly, isn't it? It's not related at all!! There is well-being, and you're letting it in. And whether they are, or not, has nothing to do with you!!

There is abundance there is well-being of all nature and as you let it in it has nothing to do with what anybody else is doing.

You can't stop doing something. Did you know that?
No mater how hard you try you can't stop doing something.
You can start doing something else. (...)

And so all that you are wanting when you are wanting somebody to stop doing something, is to put their focus upon something else.
To begin doing something else.
To replace one behaviour with another.
To replace one thought with another.
To replace one feeling with another.

Some Human Philosophies are Bad Habits of thought

[Human beings have] philosophies such as
"If you want to make something of yourself you must work very hard." and
"Those who don't work don't get". and
"Without pain there is no gain."

(...)

Now what we want to help you understand (...)
any time you are hurting, you are miscreating.
Any time you are feeling pain, your magnetic point of attraction is attracting all sorts of things that you do not want into your experience.

Something that isn't coming-
it only means one thing:

"I'm a match to my OLD BELIEF,
not a match to my NEW DESIRE!"

The Pro- and Con-game is the deliberate game of splitting energy.
What you want to do is, find the Pro and line up with it!

Why do people think, Life would not be for the Fun?

Question:
Why have humans come to believe that life is about being trained for no fun and not feeling good?

Abe:
Jerry would like to say to you: "Not all of them."
Esther would say: "those people are mean." And he would say: "Mean people are mean." or: "(...) People don't pay attention to what they're doing." and Jerry would say: "Well, people who don't pay attention to what they're doing, don't pay attention to what they're doing." But he was always wanting to help Esther to not throw everybody in a basket. ...Why have humans come to believe that life is about being trained for no fun and not feeling good... well, we will agree with you, that that is sort of rampant among your planet.

And the specific reason for that is, because most people are believing more in action than they are in the leverage of aligned energy!

And so they get into a time shortage consciousness, where they're... they just can't get it done without working too hard, or focusing too much.

And so, they train- as you say- the fun out of themselves by trying to leverage with action, something that they could have easily leveraged with energy and focus. (That's the) Primary reason!
