Re: My Going downstream journey

In my life, I've found when I've been presented with limitations that limit me in certain ways that others don't have - all I can do is work with what I CAN do, and figure out how to do things in a way that works for me. For me, it's been quite a process of discovery, but in time you can figure out what works, bit by bit.
You may not hear your thoughts; but you feel your feelings and that's the most important thing in learning to be more deliberate!
You may not know what specific thought caused an "off" feeling, but you can observe what happened around you when that off-feeling began and deduct what may have caused it.
Then you can soothe yourself specifically, according to your observation.
If you can't do a soothing internal dialogue, perhaps you can write the soothing words down on paper / on the computer instead? Abraham say writing is the most powerful way to focus anyway.
If you can't do a visualization where you see things in your mind, perhaps you can write about a scene that you would like to imagine, describing the feelings and body-sensations that go along with it and what they feel like (which is the most important part). It's on paper instead of in your mind's eye - but perhaps it has the same feeling-effect in the end? : )
Perhaps there's more you can do than first appears
