I am wondering how strong should my desire to be that it can surpass the resistance?
...reading it all this morning I want to emphasize, I think it is more about
dropping resistances, than about strengthening our desires.
The desire gets stronger, aka gets more momentum, the longer we work/think/ponder it- all by it's own. Including everytime "you didn't get it", you want it MORE. So, this really takes care of itself.
But what we can do- and it is such fun to do it, is to ENJOY the journey. To appreciate the strength that we discover in ourselves, the unconditional love that we learn, the beauty on the "scenic backroads" that life lures us into, while we follow the leads of our desires! And I think, THAT really is the meaning of life...
I just re-listened to this clip. It seems to me that what Abe said was the balance. The HS's desire of uplifting people on a larger scale like making movies is already strong. Abe suggest he continually do the vibrational work, get more confident about his ability to uplife and at the same time, the momentum of this desire would just get stronger and stronger, and therefore at a point, the desire would surpass the residual resistance, and it happens.
In this specific conversation, Abe emphasized the importance of a STRONG desire and the fact a very strong desire can surpass the resistance. They don't do it in all conversations; actually not that much. What does the specific emphasis related to specific vibrational work? Now I remembered another conversation Abe had with an actor in which Abe also emphasized the importance of a strong desire and sorta suggested it would very worthwhile for the actor to continually do auditions even if he feels uncomfortable because that would add the momentum of his desire which would be very beneficial as he then let go of resistance.
In practical terms, if the desire doesn't surpass the resistance no matter how strong I think it is, then my only work is to release resistance as much as I can, or feel as good as I can. I know this.
So, maybe: For some people, Abe suggest step 1 is extra beneficial for them to enhance their desire which can cause it to more easily manifest. Meaning: It would be very beneficial for the actor to continually go for the auditions even when he has not fully lined up with auditions. While for other people, such as the 60-year-old man who lost his financial empire who has already built
extremely strong desire in his Vortex, his work is not to enhance the momentum, but to reach for relief as much as he can.
The conversation between the actor and Abe is on youtube:
