Here we also have the red/brown squirrels that PoE posted a pic of. I sometimes see them near my house and they're so cute! I love how it looks when they run, how fluid their motion looks and their long fluffy tail

Aren't they! They seem to defy gravity...
I find especially cute how the European ones have this long hair on their ears, it stands up into the air and often has even slight waves in it, As if they would have a perm
I loved when one of them (a really red one) used to climb the wall of my house to get to the bird-feeder. It could walk up on the stone masonry seemingly completely effortless! It always peeped into my kitchen window, but never came in... (thankfully, who knows which wizardry it would have performed inside...!)
Oh my God I ran into her this morning on my way to errands and she said she dropped them off at a squirrel sanctuary !! Someone has a nice basement. They would not eat the food left out because they only would nurse, she said the sanctuary person said babies act like this if they lost the parent for over one week, wow I am fascinated, then they will be released into the wild. She was so nice, like you saved their life they would have starved.
I wish they were in my place I could have bottle fed them lol
