I admit I get a hmm sort of feeling when I see nothing outside of me is making any difference.
I daresay I'll get over it... :eh:

In the old Forum, we had a "F* it thread". It was incredibly useful!
You know, it's really odd about our use of F*.
The expletive deleted is just a sound in the air, completely harmless. And people say F* as if that's okay.
Which of course it is, except that surely it's unnecessary.

Little personal anecdote here:

As a native English speaker I learned some Spanish so I'd be able to get around Galapagos with some credibility. Years later I was living in Queensland, Australia, and ended up with all these new-migrant Spanish-speaking friends like my place was New South America.

There was a sweet and prim elderly woman from Argentina, and we were all sitting around talking in Spanish when she asked me: "What is this word I keep hearing on the streets, fock... fock... fock...?"

Bit of a dilemma there, but I happened to be sitting beside her so I whispered "culiar" in her ear, and naturally she gasped.

You make me look up words all the time!
In Germany we don't swear in f*'s, we mostly swear in "shit" (pure and plain. Without any bulls included). That's "ok" and natural as well, and also unneccessary... And then there is a lot of malediction, which is not really "ok" in my opinion, but nobody means what they say or even notice what they literally say in this moments, anyway. ...Well, as long there is relief!

:wtf:

I felt the impulse to bring this here-not trying to mess with the f*ing of anybody here, who is supposed to f* without being disturbed! ;)
